Melanin Mothers Booking Policy
Thank you for choosing and trusting Melanin Mothers to support you through your pregnancy, birth and/ or postnatal journey. Please take your time to read and understand booking terms, to ensure you are able to get the best possible experience with me.
It is essential you are completely honest regarding your full medical and psychological history, when booking any services and during discussions with myself. This is to ensure both physical and psychological safety are maintained at all times, also to ensure you are suitable for services requested. Please rest assured that my practice is regulated by the ‘Data Protection Act UK (2018)’ therefore all data provided will be treated with the highest level of privacy and security. As a practising registered Midwife, I am also regulated by the NMC Code of Conduct.
All clients will be required to sign a consent form for the provision of all services whether virtual or in person. This is to ensure you are giving your full informed consent to access services/ treatments with myself.
I may ask for your permission to record and share particular elements of your treatment session on social media. This will not include any sensitive or confidential data. Your consent will always be gained first via your consent form and at the time of recording. This will not affect the integrity of your consultations in any way and you have the right to decline.
Payments for all services must be paid in full prior to the commencement of services.
If you are unwell due to Covid-19, Flu, or any other pregnancy or postnatal related sickness. Please do not attend any face-to-face sessions. Please contact. me as soon as possible to reschedule booking. Follow local guidelines in regards to isolation. If you require immediate or emergency assistance, please contact your local hospital immediately and attend for medical review if required.
I do understand that adverse life events and unexpected sickness may occur. Therefore if you have booked a service and are no longer able to attend, please contact me at least 48 hours before for free rescheduling. Any cancellations within 24 hours before will incur a 50% charge. Any cancellations less than 24 hour before will incur a 100% (full) payment charge.
Please also note a single booking may only be rescheduled once free of charge. If you need to reschedule for a second time, your booking will unfortunately be cancelled and you will need to make another booking subject to availability.
If you do not show up to your consultation/ session without notifying me as per the booking policy, you will loose your full payment amount and will not be entitled to reschedule your appointment.
Please note, all services are bespoke and tailored towards your individual needs. Therefore as a lot of time and preparation goes into each treatment/ service requested, I regret to inform you there is a ‘No Refund policy’. However, if you are unhappy for whatever reason regarding any treatments/ services offered, or have experienced any adverse reactions from Aromatherapy oils. Please do contact me directly as soon as possible.
Please also note you are therefore not permitted to pass on any personalised teaching material, property or work to non-clients, without strict permission from myself. You are also not permitted to record any elements of your session with me either overtly or covertly. Any breech of this could result in legal action being taken against you.
