Melanin Mothers is a black-owned, independent, maternity education and advocacy enterprise.
Feeling frustrated by the heartbreaking inequalities and disparities, black and brown birthing people are facing in the UK on a daily basis. I realised there was a need for my services and from here, Melanin Mothers was born.
I am a dedicated advocate, passionate educator and senior Midwife. I continue to work clinically within the maternity sector. Whilst providing private expertise and support. A proud public speaker at a number of national maternity events.
About me
Following qualifying as a Midwife in 2014, with a 1st Class Honours in Midwifery. I went on to achieve a Masters’ in Business Administration (MBA) with Distinction. Whilst working clinically I have continually updated my skills and achieved the following certifications:
Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO)
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Newborn Life Support (NLS)
Immediate Life Support (ILS)
Contraceptive Implant Insertion
